1200 and counting…

We are very pleased to announce that we have partnered with the excellent and forward thinking Meadowside Tree Care of Cheltenham. They’ve pledged to plant a minimum of two trees at Secret Fields for each one they cut down over the next three years, that’s a minimum of 1,800 primarily native trees!

We’ve also pledged to add an additional tree for each booking we take for Ty Becca, so by taking a holiday with Secret Fields you are helping to regenerate woodland too.

We’ve tried to create good natural habitat by selecting wildlife friendly species to keep the birds and the bees happy, as well as planting new hedgerows to give small critters safe passage around the land. We’ve also added some good firewood to give us a future supply of carbon neutral heating. Harvesting, processing and storing onsite to minimise transport miles.

So far 1200 trees have been planted and are settling in to their new home. We are tremendously proud to be giving something back to our local environment. And exceedingly grateful to Yoda and his team at Meadowside for funding the project!!
