Traditional Welsh
Long House
Ty Becca is a traditional Welsh Long House, its origins date back to the 1400s. After a spell of neglect and near demolition it was brought back to life 20 years ago under previous ownership. It gets its name from the Rebecca Riots. During the 1960’s the thatch was removed from the roof and a pistol believed to be from the same period was found, now held by the Welsh Museum.
Ty Becca is perfect for couples looking for a romantic get away, offering generous accommodation with a large open plan kitchen, dining and living space on ground level and a large mezzanine bedroom with double bed.
Outside is a private garden area filled with birdsong and a wildlife pond. A fire pit/barbecue sits in a walled seating area, perfect for unwinding after a day at the beach.
A single well behaved pooch will be accommodated for a fee of £40 per booking.
We’ve tried to create a relaxing space which showcases a small collection of original artworks, prints, sculptures and textiles predominantly by local/British craftspeople. If you’d like to find out about any works displayed in Ty Becca please click the ‘Art House‘ link on the left of this page.
Cardigan Food Bank – every booking you make in Ty Becca directly benefits the people in our local community who are struggling with the cost of living. Find out more here.
